Speak with us today!
Get in touchSeason 4 of the State of Craft is here! This season, our aim is to discuss and determine strategies to address the myriad of systemic barriers that exist within the legal cannabis industry. These issues undermine craft cannabis producers' ability to succeed and have resulted in countless facility closures and the loss of thousands of jobs. We detail the barriers to success that we perceive in our white paper, The Dire State of Craft Cannabis in Canada. We encourage you to read this paper before joining us for the live stream!
Our 2nd episode of the season features a pair of nurses who have had decades of experience with Canadian health care and who have worked extensively with cannabis in professional medical settings. We're so excited to welcome Kala Sanmartin, BScN, CCHCNC and Kirk Nyquist, RN, BSN, MA to have a discussion on cannabis stigma as it relates to nursing and patient care! Stigma, in our belief, is the root cause of all the challenges that we're facing in our industry (read the first section of the white paper for more). Learning how to transform deeply held societal perceptions of cannabis is paramount to creating an environment where producers aren't shackled by policies. Health care is one of the areas most affected by stigma (see "Cannabis' Regulation" section of the white paper that dives deep into Health Canada's history with cannabis), so it's critical to learn from health care professionals who deeply understand both the system they operate within and the ways in which cannabis stigma shows up in Canadian health care.
This LIVE event takes place Friday, April 25th at 10:30 AM PT/1:30 PM ET. You can read full speaker bios and register here, or scroll down for a quick registration.
